In order to facilitate securing a needle or mount in the neck of an ampoule 1 by means of adhesive a locating member 6, having a flat upper surface 7 and recess 8, is introduced from the inner side of the neck. This is pressed fully forward and the needle is located in the recess 8. Adhesive 5 is then introduced into the space between the neck and the needle and the member 6 serves, additionally, to limit the inward flow of adhesive and to prevent it reaching and clogging the lumen of the needle. If desired, the member 6 may also carry a central metal pin 9 which passes through the bore of the needle or needle mount. |
