<p>The present invention relates to a flexible roof module for a motor vehicle and to a method for mounting such a module into the top of a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the flexible roof module is characterized in that it includes: two side pairs of first and second levers (12, 13); a rear crosspiece (3) that can be attached near the rear transverse edge (8) of the top opening; two parallel slides (15) that have two of the ends thereof attached, respectively, to the ends of the rear crosspiece (3); and two pads (51) that are rigidly connected, respectively, to the two other ends of the two slides (15) and can be attached under a front transverse edge wall of the opening (8) of the top.
