Method and apparatus for the detection of permanent distortions between a wheel disc of a rail vehicle in the form of a collar body and a shaft of a wheel set

The method involves pressing wheel disc (2) on shaft (1) of wheel set. The phase angles between wheel disc and shaft of wheel set over triggering of measuring points (5-1,5-2) at wheel disc along forward and rearward rotational directions are computed based on predetermined formulae, respectively. The relation between phase angle, duration of revolution of shaft, and time difference between triggering of measuring points at wheel disc are defined the formulae. An independent claim is included for device for recognition of permanent twists between wheel disc and shaft of wheel set.
