[PROBLEMS] To provide a polyester film for molding which is excellent in moldability at low temperature under low pressure, transparency, solvent resistance, and heat resistance and does not cause blocking or break in unwinding a roll of the film in a continuous length and which has a smaller environmental load and is suitable for nameplates of electrical appliances or automobiles or members for building material. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A polyester film for molding which consists of a copolyester-containing biaxially oriented polyester film, characterized in that: (1) the lengthwise and widthwise stresses of the film at 100% elongation at 25°C are 40 to 300MPa and those at 100°C are 1 to 100MPa, (2) the lengthwise and widthwise heat shrinkage factors of the film at 150°C are 0.01 to 5.0%, (3) the haze is 0.1 to 3.0%, (4) the surface roughness (Ra) of at least one side of the film is 0.005 to 0.030µm, and (5) the degree of plane orientation is 0.095 or below. |
