<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a position detection apparatus power-saving by automatically setting on or off a GPS receiving function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A GPS signal receiving processing section 107 judges whether or not a GPS signal is received (step SA2). When the GPS signal receiving processing section 107 has lost a GPS satellite signal due to migration to indoors, a power source supply stop is indicated to the GPS signal receiving processing section 107 (step SA6). In a case of migration to indoors, an autonomous navigation sensing processing is carried out for detecting a relative migration position at indoors based on output of sensors (step SA8), and it is judged whether or not the position obtained by the autonomous navigation sensing processing has migrated to outdoors from indoors (step SA9). Under a state of migrating to outdoors and capable of receiving GPS satellite signals, a power source supply start is indicated to the signal receiving processing section 107 (step SA10).
