PURPOSE: A mutant microorganism with enhanced metabolic product productivity including butanol from glycerol and a method for preparing the metabolic products using the same are provided to obtain butanol or 1,3-propandiol without acetone by-products. CONSTITUTION: A mutant microorganism, Clostridium pasterianum MBELGLY2 KCTC 11887BP has butanol or 1,3-propandiol productivity. A method for preparing butanol comprises a step of culturing the mutant microorganism in a medium containing glycerol as a carbon source and collecting butanol from the culture medium.
