The ventilation device (1) has multiple induction nozzles (16), which are operated, particularly with primary air. The induction nozzles are formed or arranged in groups such that an air flow is merged to induction air flow. The air flow is discharged from each group. The induction nozzles of each group have a smaller distance from one another than the distance between adjacent groups. Each group has two to five, particularly three induction nozzle. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a ventilation device.
