PURPOSE: A compact 3D direction finder is provided for each arrangement to have a non-zero projection on a respective axis from among the two axes of the two axes Cartesian coordinate system. CONSTITUTION: An arrangement(50) includes one pair of oppositely directed, spaced apart, co-axial hollow shape radiating-capable members(51a,51b). The member forms a slot throughout its entire extent(52a,52b). A first circuit(53) connected to a gap between the members of the arrangement to sense an electric field projection along the axis(55). The first circuit conveys the sensed field to a first feeding terminal and conveys to a measurement apparatus through a coaxial cable(56). A second circuit(58) is connected to the arrangement and connected to a slot of one pair of the members to sense a magnetic field projection along the axis(55). The second circuit conveys the sensed field to a second feeding terminal and conveys to a measurement apparatus through a coaxial cable. |
