<p>This invention relates to the manufacture by extrusion profiled products of expanded plastic material. An expansible plastic composition is extruded through an annular die opening into a cooled shaper having the same cross-section as the desired product, in such a manner that a high-density, rigid skin is formed on the extrudate and the composition expands inwardly within the shaper.</p> |
