The electrical transformer unit (10), for an offshore wind turbine farm, has a transformer (21) and other electrical components. The unit with the components are contained within the interior of a floating pontoon (12), with cables to carry high energy voltages to a land-based electricity grid. The upper surface of the pontoon forms a platform (16) for equipment storage and/or a helicopter landing pad.
