Platform equipment for locating adjacent a loading and unloading dock 1 for use in the loading and unloading of single or double deck vehicles, comprising: a lift 3 comprising a platform 35; power means 29 to raise or lower the platform in a horizontal plane; a leveller deck 21 located above the platform and having a forward end; which, in use, is distal from the dock, pivotally attached to structure of the platform, and also having a rearward end which is associated with power means 24 by which the rearward end may be raised above (figure 2), or lowered below (figure 3), a datum as part of a levelling function; and located beyond the forward end of the leveler. A permanently horizontal table 8 may be provided, a rear end of which is contiguous with the forward end of the leveler deck. The power means may comprise a hydraulic ram connected between first and second links of a scissor lift mechanism. A hinged bridge plate 16 may be provided for providing a bridge between the equipment and the vehicle. |
