A method of securing a terminal 11 to an electrical device comprises the steps of inserting a collar 13, (initially cylindrical), in an aperture in a conducting member 9, deforming the collar to grip the member 9, positioning this assembly in an aperture 11<SP>1</SP> in the wall of the device, passing a washer 15 over the projecting end of the terminal, and deforming the washer to engage a groove 14 in the terminal and to engage the outside surface of the wall. The washer 15 may initially be of frusto-conical shape, but once deformed is substantially plane. The wall of the device may be of a moulded plastics material. |
