1,086,990. Goggles. G. LISSAC. Nov. 25, 1965 [Dec. 8, 1964; Feb. 3, 1965], No.50214/65. Heading G2J. A pair of goggles comprises a front frame 1 having the general shape of an X, the intersection of which forms the nose bridge 3 and the two pairs of branches 2 of which provide rims for mounting eye glasses 5, and also comprises two side arms 6 pivotally mounted at 7 between the upper and lower branches 2 and shaped so as to co-operate with the free laterally outer edges of the eye glasses when in the open position. The forward portions 14 of the side arms are enlarged while the branches 2 are extended rearwardly as shown so that the wearer's eyes are completely covered. The enlarged side arm portions 14 may be provided with transparent portions in order to enlarge the wearer's field of view. Also, the portion 14 of each side arm 6 may be formed separately from the rear portion, the two halves being adjustably connected together. |
