The device (2) has measuring instruments for contactless measuring surface temperature of an object that is heatable with a hot air blower (1). The measuring instruments are arranged on the hot air blower for detecting the surface temperature in a region before a hot air outlet of the hot air blower. A measuring axis (11) of the device strikes or intersects a main exhaust flow (12) of hot air in a working area that is formed at a distance of 3-30 cm from the hot air outlet. A laser beam unit produces an objective laser beam (15). An independent claim is also included for a hot air blower.
