PURPOSE: A method for treating the surface of an exterior product for a die-casting metal electronic device is provided to obtain high surface hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of the exterior product. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating the surface of an exterior product for a die-casting metal electronic device comprises the steps of: applying chromate or non-chromate and a base primer on the surface of the metal case of a mobile phone, applying a UV or thermally-dried primer for deposition, forming a metal thin film on the UV or thermally-dried primer for deposition by arc ion plating or vacuum deposition, and applying a finishing primer and UV or thermally-dried paint to finish the surface of the metal case.
