PURPOSE: A method for preparing Scenedesmus dimorphus 6G with high lipid content is provided to produce bio diesel and to enhance productivity. CONSTITUTION: A Scenedesmus dimorphus 6G(KCTC 11880BP) enhances lipid content by irradiating Scenedesmus dimorphus by radiation. The radiation is gamma ray, electronic beam, or X-ray. A method for producing Scenedesmus dimorphus 6G(KCTC 11880BP) with enhanced lipid content comprises: a step of irradiating Scenedesmus dimorphus with radiation and culturing; a step of selecting survived Scenedesmus dimorphus with over 30% of lipid content comparing to unirradiated Scenedesmus dimorphus.
