PURPOSE: A hydraulic steering gear for a ship is provided to supply a hydraulic fluid to a cylinder only when the ship is required to be turn, thereby reducing energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic steering gear for a ship includes a ram(100), hydraulic cylinders(110,120), a tiller, a link pin, and a hydraulic supply part. The ram linearly moves according to the actuation of the hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic cylinders are supplied with a hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic supply part, and then are actuated. The hydraulic cylinders generate an actuating force for linearly moving the ram. The link pin transmits the actuating force to the tiller so that the tiller rotates the rudder of the ship according to navigator's steering actions. The link pin, which is coupled to the ram and is connected to the tiller, transmits the actuating force according the linear motion of the ram. The hydraulic supply part connected to the hydraulic cylinders supplies the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinders in order to actuate the hydraulic cylinders. |
