A DEVICE FOR DETECTING MALFUCTION OF UNDERWATER CAMERA AND THE METHOD USING THEREOF

PURPOSE: An underwater ultrasonic wave camera malfunction test apparatus and a test method are provided to simply confirm damage to a sound sensor unit, a reception unit and an A/D conversion unit by not installing a separate test signal generator. CONSTITUTION: An underwater ultrasonic wave camera includes a sound sensor unit(100), a reception unit(200), an A/D converting unit(300), and a digital signal processing unit(400). The sound sensor unit includes a sound transmission sensor generating an ultrasonic wave signal and a sound reception sensor receiving an ultrasonic wave signal. The reception unit includes an amplifier amplifying the received ultrasonic signal from the sound reception sensor. The A/D conversion unit converts the amplified ultrasonic signal to a digital signal. The digital signal processing unit embeds a microprocessor processing the digital signal converted from the A/D conversion unit.
