The invention relates to automation of monitoring and control systems, and can be used for construction of means for primary conversion of angular displacements of objects to proportional duration of electric pulse. A method for conversion of angular displacements to time interval is based on properties of magnetostriction ultrasonic waveguide systems that make possible contact-less excitation and reception of acoustic waves, propagation of those by wave guide, reflection of waves from the end surfaces, separation of time interval between the position of reflected pulses that is proportional to angular position of waveguide with respect to fixed magnetostrictive electro-acoustic transformer. The technical result of the invention is in removal of ambiguity in indication of the end time interval that is proportional to the value of angle due to realization of the mode of asymmetric magnetostrictive conversion. |
