A wave energy converter comprises a float 1, a rod 2, reciprocating-piston pumps 3 having a high pressure pipe 4, and torsional springs 5 and 5'. One end of the rod is rigidly connected to the float and its another end is connected to a slider 6 by means of a spherical joint A, the slider being pivotally connected to pump piston rods 9 by means of a joint B and two torsional springs disposed at the front and rear sides of the joint. One ends of the springs are connected to the pump piston rods, and another ends thereof are capable of fixing levers in equilibrium position in horizontal plane defined by pump longitudinal axes so that one spring end limits the slider upward motion, and, accordingly, levers turning, while another spring end limits slider downward motion, and, accordingly, levers turning.
