PURPOSE: A remote control device, a broadcasting reception device, and a control method thereof are provided to generate a macro command according to a control command by receiving a macro function setting command. CONSTITUTION: A user interface unit(110) gradually receives one or more control commands for controlling a broadcasting reception device. A control unit(120) receives a macro function setting command through the user interface unit. The control unit generates a macro command according to the control command which is inputted before inputting the macro function setting command. An interface unit(140) transmits the one or more control commands inputted through the user interface unit to the broadcasting reception device. The interface unit receives the state information of the broadcasting reception device according to the one or more control commands.
