PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling mood light in a vehicle and a mood lighting system using the same are provided to improve safety by controlling the illuminance of a mood lighting unit which emits light with a preset color. CONSTITUTION: A mode selecting unit(11) selects one of an off music mode and a mood mode. A color selecting unit(12) is circularly located in the mode selecting unit and selects the color of the mood light according to the number of push operations. An illuminance control unit(13) is located on one side of the color selecting device. The illuminance control device controls the illuminance of the mood light with a reciprocating method.
