PURPOSE: A painting device is provided to control vertical position of a coating gun through a controlling unit, thereby facilitating performance of coating at the lower surface of ship block. CONSTITUTION: A painting device comprises a movable unit(10), a slider(20), a painting gun(30), a driving unit and a controller(60). The movable unit is installed on the floor in a first direction and is moved by the driving force of a driving motor along rails(13). The slider moves on the movable unit in a second direction. The coating gun is installed to the slider and sprays the paint in upper direction. The driving unit provides the driving force to the slider. The controller controls the movable body and the driving unit. The movable body comprises a movable body(16) and a guide protrusion(18).
