PURPOSE: A monitoring camera controlling method is provided to search for a tracking object according to specific information of a tracking object image and to compensate a search result location of the tracking object according to a prediction location of the tracking object. CONSTITUTION: A host device searches for a tracking object image according to feature information of the tracking object image in a newly inputted image frame(S33). The host device calculates predicted location of the tracking object(S35). The host device searches for the tracking object image according to feature information of the tracking object image. The host device corrects a search result location of the tracking object(S36). The host device controls panning and tilting of a monitoring camera(S37).
