An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce a color separation and enhance brightness by implementing a color filter using two colors. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a liquid crystal panel(60) and a backlight(90). The liquid crystal panel includes pixels, which are formed in matrix, and first and second sub-color filters, which are repeatedly disposed corresponding to the pixels, having first and second colors different from each other. The backlight unit is formed at a rear surface of the liquid crystal panel, and supplies from first to third color beam, which have different colors from each other, having a white beam to the liquid crystal panel. |
