PURPOSE: An adjuster assembly of a drum brake is provided to adjust a gap between a drum and a lining by moving an actuating lever along a leading shoe when the leading shoe is expanded. CONSTITUTION: An adjuster assembly of a drum brake comprises a cylindrical drum(10), a pair of brake shoes, a wheel cylinder(30), return springs(40), and an adjuster assembly(60). The cylindrical drum is rotated with the wheels of a vehicle. The brake shoes are composed of a leading shoe(20a) and a trailing shoe(20b). Linings(50) are attached on the brake shoes. A piston is arranged inside the wheel cylinder to operate the brake shoes by receiving braking pressure. The return springs restore the brake shoes when a braking operation is released. The adjuster assembly compensates a gap between the drum and the linings. |
