<p>The system has two locks, each disposed in a vehicle door. One lock has a locking switch (6) switched from one state to another state by a locking lever (3), and the other lock has a locking switch (5) switched by a bolt (1) and a locking lever (2). An electronic control unit receives signals representing the state of the switches and provides a signal representing a locking state of the vehicle from the former signals. An independent claim is also included for a process of encoding a locking state of a motor vehicle.</p> |
