<p>An ultrasound transducer (400) comprises piezoelectric element (108) defining front side and back side and configured to convert electrical signals into ultrasound waves to be transmitted from front side toward a target and convert ultrasound waves into electrical signals, lens (102) connected to front side of piezoelectric element, heat sink connected to back side of piezoelectric element, and backside matching layer (401) disposed and thermally connected between piezoelectric element and heat sink and configured to conduct heat from piezoelectric element to heat sink. An independent claim is included for manufacturing method of ultrasound transducer (400) which involves attaching matching layer (401) to front side of piezoelectric element (108), attaching backside matching layer to back side of piezoelectric element, and connecting backside matching layer to heat sink, which faces back side of piezoelectric element.</p> |
