PURPOSE: A variable safety bollard for absorbing impacts is provided to prevent damages to a vehicle and a bollard colliding with the vehicle because the bollard has an excellent durability and a buffer structure, and to protect the body of a pedestrian colliding with the bollard. CONSTITUTION: A variable safety bollard for absorbing impacts includes an air pump(10), a body portion(20), an impact sensor, a controlling portion, a head cover(30), a bollard case(40), a waterproof tube(50), a waterproof tube support(55), and an air hose(60). The air pump installed on the ground or underground controls intake and exhaust. The tubular body connected to the air pump is capable of being formed into a pillar depending on the injection of air. The impact sensor installed at the body portion detects impacts applied to the body portion. The controlling portion connected to the impact sensor receives impact generated signals transmitted from the impact sensor. The head cover installed at the upper side of the body portion has a vehicle identifying detector which identifies vehicles capable of entering. The air pump and the body portion are installed inside the bollard case. The waterproof tube placed at the upper side of the bollard case provides airtightness between the body portion and the bollard case. The waterproof tube support installed in between the waterproof tube and the bollard case restricts the movement of the waterproof tube. The air hose connects the air pump with the body portion. |
