The device has a centering unit (14) placed at an edge of a outlet of a barrel (9) and projecting axial toward an outer side of a base (6). The centering unit co-operates, by fitment, with a main opening (16) that comprises a body (2). The main opening accommodates the centering unit at its opening facing the base. A pin (15) is placed remotely from the centering unit, and projects toward the outer side of the base. The pin co-operates with a secondary opening (17), which receives the pin at its outlet directed toward the base. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a body of a plate.
