The railing has two uprights connected by a horizontal rail that occupies a folded position and an extended position. An articulation is interposed between each upright and a fixing unit e.g. screw, of each upright. A sleeve (25) is allowed to slide on the uprights between a locking position of the railing in the extended position in which the sleeve is positioned on the articulation for locking purposes, and an unlocking position in which the sleeve is disengaged from the articulation for authorizing rotation toward the folded position.
