<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat radiation performance of a power storage device which includes a battery module, having multiple secondary cells, and an electric power conversion device. <P>SOLUTION: A gap part is formed between a battery module and an electric power conversion device associated with generation of enormous heat. The gap part is used as a passage of air drawn from an opening formed on a lower surface of the device and the air is discharged from an opening on an upper surface of the device. This structure allows the battery module and the electric power conversion device to efficiently radiate heat. The gap part is formed by fixing a first chassis member, made of a metal material that the battery module closely contacts and is fixed, to a second chassis member, made of a metal material that the electric power conversion device closely contacts and is fixed. Heat of the battery module and the electric power conversion device is efficiently transmitted to the first chassis member and the second chassis member, and the first chassis member and the second chassis member are heated. The first chassis member and the second chassis member are cooled by air passing through the gap part and heat is radiated from the battery module and the electric power conversion device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
