<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify, when a light source lamp is unexpectedly extinguished, a factor of extinguishment and to respond to the factor. <P>SOLUTION: A projection device comprises: a light source lamp 18 comprising gas sealed within a tube and emitting light by electrification; projection systems 14-17 and 19-25 for forming a light image using the light emitted by the light source lamp 18 and emitting it toward a projection object; a microphone 27 for detecting breakage of the light source lamp 18; a CPU 28 for temporarily stopping, according to the detection by the microphone 27, the electrification to the light source lamp 18 and a projecting operation in the projection systems 14-17 and 19-25; a main memory 29; and a program memory 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
