<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely expand and deploy an airbag inside a vehicle cabin when expanding and deploying the airbag on a sidewall inside the vehicle cabin. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 1 is mounted on the sidewall 91 inside the vehicle cabin. The airbag 10 includes an expanding section 30 expanded by gas and is arranged in an upper section of the sidewall 91. An inflator 2 supplies gas to the expanding section 30 to expand and deploy the airbag 10 downwards. A connection member 50 connects the airbag 10 to a vehicle body 99 and is pulled between the vehicle body 99 and the expanded and deployed airbag 10. When expanding and deploying the airbag 10, a supporting section 51 for the connection member 50 supports the expanding section 30 from the sidewall 91 side to press the expanding section 30 toward the inside of the vehicle cabin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
