<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser oscillator capable of obtaining a laser beam having a flat energy distribution of output laser light, without energy dispersion to a peripheral portion. <P>SOLUTION: The laser oscillator includes a laser resonator 10 having: an YVO4 crystal 40 for converting light of wavelength 808 nm from a semiconductor laser into light of wavelength 1064 nm; and a total reflection mirror 30 and a partial transmission mirror 60 disposed oppositely to sandwich the YVO4 crystal 40. The total reflection mirror 30 includes a reflection plane which transmits the light of wavelength 808 nm and totally reflects the light of wavelength 1064 nm. The partial transmission mirror 60 includes a reflection plane which transmits only a portion of the light of wavelength 1064 nm and reflects the rest. The total reflection mirror 30 and the partial transmission mirror 60 are planar mirrors.
