<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can rapidly heat a heating member and also easily maintain temperature of the heating member to fixing temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 comprises: a heating element (a halogen lamp 120) which generates heat; a heating member (a nip plate 130) heated by the heating element so as to be fixing temperature for thermal fixing of a developer image on a recording sheet (paper P); and a backup member (a pressure roller 150) which conveys a recording sheet while sandwiching the recording sheet between the heating member and the backup member. A specific heat change member 170 is disposed in contact with the heating member and has higher specific heat at the fixing temperature than specific heat at temperature lower than transition temperature by performing phase transition at transition temperature near the fixing temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
