<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical microphone capable of detecting a propagation direction of acoustic wave and a direction of propagation. <P>SOLUTION: The optical microphone detects an acoustic wave propagating in an environmental fluid using an optical wave, and includes: an acoustic wave reception part 2 including a propagation medium part 3 which is configured by a solid propagation medium and through which the acoustic wave propagates, and a support part 9 for supporting the propagation medium part 3; a light source 4 for emitting optical wave 5 transmitted through the propagation medium part 3 crossing the acoustic wave 1 propagating in the propagation medium part 3; and a photoelectric conversion part 6 provided with a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements for receiving the optical wave transmitted through the propagation medium part 3 and outputting an electric signal. In the acoustic wave reception part 2, the propagation medium part 3 has a pair of main surfaces in which the optical wave being incident thereto and emitted therefrom and at least one side surface which is positioned between the pair of main surfaces and to which the acoustic wave is incident from the environmental fluid, and the support part includes an opening 9a for exposing at least a part of the at least one side surface and a sound insulation part 9b for covering an area between the pair of main surfaces in an area other than the opening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
