<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing resin fine particles allowing manufacture of resin fine particles of high charge amount with high yield, and the resin fine particles obtained therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing resin fine particles included in a display particle usable for an information display panel. The display particle is obtained by attaching resin fine particles on a surface of a matrix particle. The display particles are encapsulated between two opposing substrates. At least one of the substrates is transparent. An electrical field is applied between the substrates to cause the display particles move so that image information is displayed in the information display panel. The method includes: a preliminary polymerization step for polymerizing a polymerizable monomer having one polymerizable functional group in a molecule to form a particle nucleus; and a main polymerization step for adding and polymerizing a polymerization component including a cross-linkable monomer having at least two or more vinyl groups in a molecule, in this order. The proportion of the cross-linkable monomer to a sum total of the polymerizable monomer and the cross-linkable monomer in the preliminary polymerization step and in the main polymerization step is 20 mol% or larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
