In this motor drive transmission device for use in a vehicle, a reducer (20) and a differential gear (80) that distributes output rotation from the reducer (20) to the axles of left and right wheels are positioned so as to form a line in the front/rear direction of the vehicle. The reducer (20), which reduces the speed of rotation from an electric motor (10) and outputs said rotation, has the following: a speed-changing mechanism (50) equipped with a roller clutch (30A, 30B); and reduction gear trains (23, 24). The reduction gear trains (23, 24), the roller clutch (30A, 30B), and a differential gear train (89) that constitutes the differential gear (80) are contained in the same casing (25) and lubricated by an oil bath (OL) inside said casing (25). The level of the oil in the oil bath (OL) is between a level at which part of the differential gear train (89) protrudes above the oil bath (OL) when the vehicle is horizontal and a level at which part of the differential gear train (89) is immersed in the oil bath (OL) when the vehicle is maximally tilted, inclusive.
