PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check normal operation of an alcohol detector.

SOLUTION: An operation-checking device for an alcohol detector comprises: an alcohol gas storage section 101; an inert gas storage section 103; a first path 105 for discharging gas of the alcohol gas storage section outside; a second path 107 for discharging gas of the inert gas storage section outside; a first gas discharging section 109 formed at the end of the first path; a second gas discharging section 111 formed at the end of the second path; alcohol detector placing sections 113 and 115 on which alcohol detectors 131 and 133 are placed, respectively; a first gas discharging section fixing part 117 for fixing the first gas discharging section while keeping the distance between the first gas discharging section and the alcohol detector that is placed on the alcohol detector placing section 113 to be a first predetermined distance; and a second gas discharging section fixing part 119 for fixing the second gas discharging section while keeping the distance between the second gas discharging section and the alcohol detector that is placed on the alcohol detector placing section 115 to be a second predetermined distance.
