<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint with a track shape, which secures superior durability by securing stable conditions of contact between forge formed tracks and balls of finished tracks, and facilitates quality control of forging molds and products as in the past. <P>SOLUTION: At least either the track grooves of an outer joint member or the track grooves of an inner joint member are cast by cold forge finishing. The cross-sectional shape of the track groove has a Gothic arch shape towards the bottom of the track groove and an elliptical shape towards the opening of the track groove. From the open angle side of the track groove towards the depths of the joint, a connection angle between the Gothic arch shape and the elliptical shape and a ratio of contact between the track groove and the ball have been gradually reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
