Wireless Data Communication. A method of wireless communication between a master device and a slave device is disclosed. The method comprises: . the master device continually transmitting request messages (10a-10h) to the slave device; . the slave device transmitting reply messages (12a-12d) in reply only to some of said request messages; wherein the slave device transmits a reply message in reply to a request message if: . a) a predetermined period has elapsed since it transmitted its last reply message (12a-12c); or . b) the request message contains data (12d).
