The present invention relates to a method for purifying a gallium Ga68-radiolabeled contrast medium including a gallium Ga68-radiolabeled chelate vectorized by a folate or folate-derivative targeting ligand, the method including the following consecutive steps: preparing a solution of the chelate vectorized by a folate or folate-derivative targeting ligand that is not radiolabeled; radiolabeling the vectorized chelate with Ga68 in a complexing solution in order to obtain a radiolabeled, vectorized chelate solution; purifying the resulting solution by using a purification means to remove at least one radiolabeled impurity that includes a radiolabeled chelate vectorized by a folate oxidation residue, and simultaneously removing the free or colloidal gallium Ga68 and the traces of 68Ge; and recovering the purified solution containing the gallium Ga68-radiolabeled chelate vectorized by a folate or folate-derivative targeting ligand, and having a purity of at least 95%.
