PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism enabling power reduction by identifying an information processing device used by a user who logs in to an image forming device and causing the information processing device to enter a power-saving mode.

SOLUTION: An image forming device acquires user identification information of a user who logs in to the image forming device, identifies an information processing device corresponding to the user identification information, and transmits a power-saving transition request to the identified information processing device so as to cause the information processing device to enter a power-saving mode. The information processing device causes the information processing device to enter the power-saving mode in accordance with the power-saving transition request.
