<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device irradiating a recording medium with light, the device in which an amount of dust depositing on a cover disposed on a side opposing to the recording medium is decreased. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 50 includes: an irradiation unit 52 irradiating a sheet-type recording medium P with light, the recording medium having a toner image formed thereon and conveyed along a conveyance passage 22; a cover 54 which covers the irradiation unit 52 from the conveyance passage 22-side, is a planar cover transmitting light, and is arranged in such a manner that the distance between the cover and the conveyance passage 22 increases in a downstream side along the conveyance direction of the recording medium; and a dust collection unit 61 that has a suction port 65 and collects dust by sucking air through the suction port 65. The suction port 65 is disposed to oppose to the conveyance passage 22 from the same side as the irradiation unit 52, at a downstream side of a region where the recording medium P is irradiated with light along the conveyance direction of the recording medium, and is disposed at a position nearer to the conveyance passage 22 than an end of the cover 54 on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
