<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device for correcting unevenness due to temperature distribution of a display panel and a method for controlling the touch panel device. <P>SOLUTION: A resistance film type touch panel device is configured by overlapping a display panel, a first sheet formed such that a plurality of transparent conducive films continuously extending in a first axial direction of the display panel in parallel are arrayed in a second axial direction which intersects the first axial direction and a second sheet formed such that transparent conductive films facing the plurality of transparent conductive films are arranged in this order, and can be operated by touching from the second sheet side. The touch panel device includes: estimation means for measuring resistance value of each of the transparent conductive films of the first sheet, and for, on the basis of the temperature of each of the transparent conducive films of the first sheet to be estimated on the basis of the measured resistance value and a relation between the temperature and resistance value of each of the transparent conductive films of the first sheet, estimating temperature of the display area of the display panel corresponding to each of the transparent conductive films; and correction means for, on the basis of the estimated temperature of each of the display areas of the display panel, correcting display unevenness of the display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
