<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a square battery in which occurrence of problems in quality resulting from the metal foil exposed portion at the start-of-winding of an electrode sheet can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A square battery 1 has a flat wound electrode group 5 produced by flatly winding electrode sheets 41, 51 where electrode mixture layers 43, 53 are formed on the surface of band-shaped metal foils 42, 52, and metal foil exposed parts 44, 54 exposing the metal foils 42, 52 are formed along one long side thereof. Metal foil exposed portions 44A, 54A at the start-of-winding of the electrode sheets 41, 51 are fixed to the wound inner peripheral surfaces 49, 59 of the metal foil exposed parts 44, 54 which are wound on the outer peripheral side of the metal foil exposed portions 44A, 54A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
