<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that can solve the following problem: a slit is formed to the longitudinal direction of an absorber, thereby improving the fitting of the absorbent article at the mounting, however, the slit that has been formed to the absorber causes a rip in a portion of a top sheet, and an absorbent material leaks to the external from the rip. <P>SOLUTION: It has been found that when the problem of the absorbent article that has an absorber 10 in which a slit 11 has been formed has been considered, a split damage is easily caused in the part that especially covers the end portion of the side of a back 2 of the slit 11 in a top sheet 20 that covers the absorber 10.
