<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce comparatively lower order harmonic components contained in a circuit current waveform in an LED drive circuit which includes LED rows formed by serially connecting a plurality of LEDs as light sources and drives the LED rows by a pulsating flow. <P>SOLUTION: An LED drive circuit includes a first bypass circuit 110 connected to a terminal (anode) for applying a pulsating voltage of an LED row 120. In a period when a current does not flow through the LED row 120, a first bypass current is increased or decreased together with the pulsating voltage in this first bypass circuit.
