摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a change from occurring in the quality of the entire body of fish, especially, in the quality of the right and left bodies when preserving fresh fish (excluding live fish) and to delay the postmortem rigidity of the fish. <P>SOLUTION: In a heat-insulating container 1 made of styrene foam, etc., loose ice 2 is put in, and a water absorbing cooling mat 3 is paved thereon. Thereon, a longitudinal partition plate 4b and a longitudinal supporting plate 5 are assembled to partition it into a plurality of space rectangular in a horizontal cross section, and fresh fish is put in the partitioned space, with its head on the side of being wide in lateral width and its trail on the side of being narrow in lateral width, whereby at least one-sided flank of the fish is brought into contact with a partition plate 5 and the direction of connecting the belly side of the fish with the back is contained thereby keeping its posture.
